Jade Vantreese
For over a decade, Jade had been working in the natural foods and farming sector across the nation, her most recent work in the Pacific Northwest, where she studies food and food systems work. Jade is active in working and volunteering with community groups involved in enhancing the local food economy in Whatcom County, Washington, and is especial passionate about the cooperative business model. Jade will soon have her B.A. in Food Systems and is actively pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration.
Sydney Gildersleeve
Sydney is currently studying Environmental Education at Huxley College, Sydney is interested in educating about sustainable food systems around the world. She is currently creating environmental awareness activities for children and their families, which promotes the understanding of marine and forest ecosystems, and their interconnectedness.
Katelyn Notestine
Katelyn is a Fairhaven student who is pursuing a concentration in Environmental Justice, and double minoring in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Studies. She hopes to continue the food assessment project for the rest of her schooling career, and to promote awareness to food insecurity, and other similar issues.
